A tether bolt is installed into the floor of the car and is the connector to which your tether strap connects.This Safety 1st Anchor Bolt Kit is used to securely connect a snap hook style tether strap, to keep it safetly in place.
Older cars have a bolt installed in the rear of the car, while new cars have a small bar fitted to the back of the rear seat. If your car does not come with a tether bolt you will need to install one. The bolt must be secured to a strong part of the vehicles chassis. This can be done by yourself or by a mechanic.
